                          Hello!

My name is Jacklyn Trzaska and I am currently a senior at Texas Christian University. Originally from Chicago, Illinois, I have fallen in love with the Dallas/Fort Worth area and have made Texas my home.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude in May 2016 with my Bachelor in Science for Early Childhood Education with a specialization in Special Education. Further, I have been admitted to an Accelerated Master's program which has allowed me to take graduate courses throughout my final year of undergrad as well as one additional year of graduate school. I will graduate in May 2017 with my Master's in Special Education.

I have always had an undeniable love for working with children and an even greater love for serving those with disabilities. I believe every student, no matter what obstacles they may face, deserves the opportunity to grow, learn, and thrive within the school environment to help lead them to a successful and happy life beyond their educational years. I am honored to help every student I interact with move one step closer to reaching their full abilities and increasing self confidence.

I have had practice in many different settings, from teaching English in Nicaragua for two summers, being a teachers assistant in the Netherlands for 3 weeks, tutoring three 9 year old students with learning disabilities weekly, tutoring college students, 300+ observational hours in several general-ed classrooms, working in a multi-aged classroom with eight students with autism, and student teaching in a Resource/Inclusion setting. No two students are the same, and my practice working with students in different age groups, ability levels, and even countries has helped me become a more aware and insightful educator.

I feel very blessed to have gone through the TCU College of Ed and learn from amazing professors who have helped craft me into the teacher I want to be.
