My Philosophy:

If you're not exhausted by the end of the day, then you didn't live the day right. This is the motto I strive for incessantly. Make somebody else's day easier, laugh at yourself, and take steps towards your wildest goals. But most importantly, have a method to all this madness. If there is no purpose behind your actions, then there is no point.

After growing up in the fun-loving state of Colorado, I truly aligned with the Coloradan mentality that you can become anyone you want to be. My journey at Texas Christian University has proved no different. TCU has presented me with the opportunity to live out this ambitious philosophy in classes, organizations, and the Fort Worth community as a whole. I'm encouraged by Abraham Lincoln's ideology when he said, "Whatever you are, be a good one".

My Professional Goals:

I like to approach my academic goals with the same level of enthusiasm as my "extra-curricular" goals. Because as the saying goes, "if the thing is worth doing, it's worth doing well." So while I embrace my sophomore year at Texas Christian University, I plan to do it well, with the most important facet of my year being its academic victories.

I plan on engaging myself in co-curricular activities that will bolster my application for the Neeley School of Business come application season in Spring of 2016. My plan of attack is segmented by academic year.

Sophomore year:

  • Gain leadership positions in K-Life and Kappa Alpha Theta
  • Commit to a philanthropy on or off-campus
  • Make a 4.0 either spring or fall semester
  • Keep my job at the BLUU and my position as research assistant for Like a Pro Sports, inc.
  • Gain admission to the Neeley School of Business

Junior Year:

  • Continue leadership in K-Life and Kappa Alpha Theta
  • Remain in good standing (3.5+) for scholarship and Neeley Fellows
  • Prepare for study abroad opportunity in spring of 2017

All of these steps will further my goal of admission into the Neeley School of Business, which will give me the skills to gain internships in the sports business world, ultimately allowing myself to move into my desired career upon graduation in 2018.

My long-term goal is to graduate in May of 2018 from the Neeley School of Business with an Entrepreneurial Management and Finance double-degree. Here is my broader plan of attack:

Freshman Year:

  • Earn above a 3.5 GPA

Sophomore Year:

  • Gain admission into the Neeley Fellows Program
  • Personalize on a minor-combination in history, economics, or communications

Junior Year:

  • Receive a 3.75 or higher in all my major courses
  • Study abroad
  • Take advantage of colloquial classes

Senior Year:

  • Secure a paying job by March of my senior year
  • Graduate with Honors
