Ethical Leader

I have been able to practice ethical leadership numerous times through my time at TCU. I have been blessed with the opportunity to serve in multiple leadership positions, and ethics have been tested. I believe that it is essential to always stay true to your own core values. One of my core values is most definitely ethics. I am a business major and I believe that ethical business practices are essential to be successful in the long run. Cutting corners will only hurt you later on in life. I believe that I need to invest myself fully into everything I do. I make a point to commit to organizations and activities I become involved in. For example, I have found opportunities for leadership within the Honors College by serving as a  now member of Honors Cabinet, Milton Daniel Hall Crew, actively participating in multiple honors courses, and taking the adventure of a lifetime in Eastern Europe on Cultural Pathways 2 with 13 fellow honors students and 2 faculty members.  Another example would be TCU Ambassadors. The organization requires you to complete 10 points to maintain membership each semester. If you receive 20 points or more you are recognized in the 20 point club. Last semester I earned 43 points and won an award for all around dedication to the organization. I have also devoted a great deal of time into my sorority. I am currently serving as the chapters Vice President of Intellectual Development and devote over 6 hours a week to Alpha Chi Omega. Leadership begins with involvement. If you are not present, you cannot lead. I am a strong believer that leading my example is one of the most effective leadership styles. I hope to find even more opportunities to display my ethical leadership abilities at TCU.
