Welcome to SXSW Interactive 2015 TCU - Global Impact and Policy

About Me

Hey everyone and welcome to my blog!

My name is Danielle Mondragon and I'm a Film/TV/Digital Media and Psychology double major from Texas Christian University. I'm currently a junior and plan on graduating May 2016. I love the creative aspect of film as well as the medium that it gives me to tell a story. Psychology is another passion of mine as it gives me the ability to help others regarding their mental health.

I've always been interested in policy and advocacy work because I enjoy being a part of a positive movement. I have been able to use my creative side as well as my psychology background to try to move others to act. I'm attending SXSW to explore other ways that I can fight against stigmas, stereotypes, and prejudice. I hope to be inspired by others' positive movements in the advocacy and non-profit field. With digital advocacy becoming more and more prevalent, I am interested to see how successful non-profits have been able to keep up. I hope to know more about the successful impact made by using social media as a medium. With the knowledge I will gain from the festival, I hope to take these strategies with me throughout the rest of my advocacy career.

I hope this interests you, whether you wish to learn more about advocacy work and policy, or if you just want to learn more about the SXSW festival in general!

If you would like to learn more about me, here is my SXSW Twitter and my LinkedIn
