Tackling the Resume

Resumes are a challenging project. You have a single sheet of paper to use to put your best foot forward and leave a good impression. If presenting yourself was not hard already, resumes amplify that due to their lack of detail and short length. However, there are resources everywhere to help you through this process. Whether you are just starting out or even if you are a resume veteran, the TCU Center for Career and Professional Development can help you polish your resume and make it into a powerful job search tool. You can visit the resume section of their website or stop by their office on the first floor of Jarvis Hall for an in-person consultation.

If you want a few quick tips to begin your resume, start with this article, which specifically covers resume writing as a college student. And if you already have a good professional resume, try looking into other creative ways to present yourself. This post is a great resource showcasing new and creative ways to display the information you would put on a resume.
